Last Updated: May 12, 2026

Effective Date: May 12, 2026

Entity: Jinan Matrix Information Technology Co., Ltd.

Thank you for using RetroGo ("the App"). We value your privacy and data security. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal information when you use the App.

1. Data Collection

The current version of the App does not collect any user data. We do not collect, store, or process any personal information related to you.

Your game data (including game ROMs, save files, etc.) is stored locally on your device (or in your iCloud Drive if you choose to enable it). We cannot access, upload, or view these files.

The only exception is Apple StoreKit, which may process transaction identifiers and purchase status locally on your device and through Apple's servers to verify your Pro subscription entitlement. This data is handled entirely by Apple and we do not have access to it.

2. Advertising Identifier

The current version of the App does not use advertising identifiers (such as IDFA). We do not collect or track any of your information through advertising identifiers.

3. Data Sharing

Since the current version of the App does not collect any user data, we do not share your personal information with any third parties.

4. Permissions Usage

The App may request the following permissions to provide core functionality:

  • Local Network: Used solely for local multiplayer (Netplay) features.
  • Files/Documents: Used solely to read game files you import and to write save data.
  • Bluetooth: Used solely to connect external game controllers.

5. Data Security

Although the App does not collect any user data, we are committed to ensuring your data security. The App is open-sourced under the GPLv3 license, and all code is transparent. You can view the source code on GitHub at any time to verify our security commitments.

6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions

The App may offer optional in-app purchases, auto-renewable subscriptions, and a one-time lifetime unlock. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect, store, or have access to your payment card information.

The App uses Apple StoreKit solely to verify purchase status, subscription entitlement, product identifiers, and transaction status for the purpose of enabling purchased features and restoring purchases. All StoreKit data is processed on-device and through Apple's servers. We do not receive, store, or transmit this data to our own servers.

For information on how Apple handles your payment and account data, please refer to Apple's Privacy Policy.

7. Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on this page and indicate the effective date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically to stay informed about how we protect your privacy.
